B.A.P Bromances We Love To Love

We know idol bromances bring just as much (maybe more) joy to fans as idol romances, and in honor of B.A.P being selected as our Star of the Week, we’re highlighting a few of our favorite B.A.P couplings.

We know the boys are close, but a few of the members share an unbreakable bond (not to mention amazing couple names), so read on to bask in the brotherly love.

Banglo
Bang Yong Guk and Zelo make up the leader-maknae pair that fans have affectionately dubbed Banglo.

Bang Yong Guk and Zelo made their debut first as a duo with Never Give Up, and fans haven’t been able to get enough of the big bro-little bro matchup since.

Jonglo
When Zelo isn’t spitting bars with Bang Yong Guk, he’s breaking it down with Jong Up as part of another B.A.P bromance, Jonglo.

Zelo and Jong Up are not only B.A.P’s best dancers, they’re also the two youngest members of the group. Being the maknae of the group doesn’t come easy, but Zelo has the support of Jong Up, the next youngest in line.

Banghim
Just when we thought Banglo was the best thing to happen to bromances, we learned about the Banghim bromance. And never has a bromance sounded so wrong…yet so right.

When Zelo is doubling up with Jong Up, Bang Yong Guk isn’t just sitting idle. He’s switching it up with Himchan as part of another brilliant bromance – Banghim.

Himup
When Bang Yong Guk and Himchan aren′t attached at the hip, Himchan is seen mixing it up with Jong Up.

It′s no wonder fans love this pair as the name alone - a combination of the the words ′Him,′ which means strength in Korean, and ′Up′ - gives us a bolt of energy.

Daejae
With the rappers and dancers bromancing it up, of course B.A.P’s vocalists would team up as well. The result: Daejae.

So, what happens when two top vocalists come together? Our guess is as good as yours, but we’d like to think that they make sweet, sweet music together.

Let us know which B.A.P bromance you love the most in the comments below!

A Look at Zelo, the Giant Baby that Keeps on Growing

There are a couple of giant babies in the Kpop industry, and there is one that always comes up in our heads at the mention of that nickname.

Zelo may be 184 centimeters tall (probably taller at this point), but to remind us that he’s only 16 at the moment and will forever be the maknae of the group, we jog through memory lane and coo at Zelo’s adorable past.

This kid knew he was cute from the start.

Notice how tall he already was?

We all had those awkward phases (and haircuts) in elementary school

Fortunately, puberty hit Zelo well.

Here come the blond curly fries

And the cotton candy

Still fascinated by the little things in life

And repping the baby bib

Ready to break some hearts with those good looks of his

Second puberty hits and wild things happen

And currently in a state of rebellion

And still many more years of Zelo to look forward to before he′s officially an adult.

B.A.P and Its Awesome Engrish Lyrics

We grew up listening to 90’s Kpop music and the English, or Engrish, has come a long way with Kpop artists actually checking to see if the English makes sense and are pronounced correctly.

But there are a few that slip out through the cracks and make it into the album.

Now, in no way are we criticizing the little gems we find here and there, because sometimes, the whole point of listening to Kpop is to hear what our favorite stars say in English.

With B.A.P under our spotlight this week, we give you some of the best Engrish we found that ever slipped out of the B.A.P members’ mouths.

One Shot We loved this song in its entirety, including the pushups that gave us a good look at each member’s muscular arms. But muscles aside, the lyrics that caught our attention came right at the beginning, when Bang Yong Guk fiercely raps,

One shot, Let me tell you something that you already know,
You just get the rock to me.
You na mean?

Unfortunately, we didn’t really know what Bang Yong Guk was talking about.

But, one of our very clever friends did and she actually brought Bang Yong Guk a rock to a fansigning. We believe Bang Yong Guk enjoyed the good laugh and he got the rock he so desired.

Win Win.

Dancing in the Rain

Dancing in the Rain is one of our favorite B.A.P songs. The beat is catchy and the image of dancing in the rain is so beautiful.

But one part of the lyrics had us cocking our heads in confusion at the implication it was making.

Already I’m ready.
You’re very tipsy baby
(…)
Already I’m ready
You’re very sexy baby

We….don’t really want to find out what happened after this.

Excuse Me

We chose this particular song, not necessarily because of its grammatically incorrectness (although it did have a factor in making it into the pool), but because of its subtle reference to another song.

We personally love it and find it clever when artists are able to stick in the titles of their past hits into a smooth flowing new song, just like how B.A.P did in What’s Poppin’, when they stuck in Warrior, Power, No Mercy and One Shot because they could.

So when we were listening to Excuse Me, we couldn’t overlook it when B.A.P sang,

Let’s Getting’ High YooHoo
We So Fly To the Sky High YooHoo

A completely different vibe from each other, but we liked that B.A.P is supporting its company sister by sticking in Secret’s title song into the song.

Hurricane Alright, you saw this coming as soon as you read the title of this article.

Now, there’s nothing wrong with the lyrics The Roof, The Roof, The Roof Is On Fire.

But we just had to include in here because the whole setting of how it was delivered had us rolling.

We love Himchan, we really do – he’s an amazing person, but the whole image of Himchan dressed up in a tux, seriously burning whole through the camera while whispering

The Loof, The Loof, The Loof is on fiyah

….we just couldn’t.

Please don’t hate us.

The B.A.P Boys Before They Were Badmen

B.A.P′s comeback is officially in full swing with the release of the group′s third and final single Badman in its triple title track promotion.

The boys take to the streets in the new music video, reviving their rough and rebellious image, which has become signature to the group thanks to their earlier singles like Warrior and Power.

Maybe that′s why we were caught off guard when we learned that B.A.P had signed on to be the new face of school uniform brand Skool Looks of all things.

Based on the boys′ awkward smiles and even more awkward poses, it looks like the boys aren′t quite used to the new look either. But in reality, if you went to school in Korea, you most likely wore a uniform, and the B.A.P boys were no exception.

As such, we dug up photos of the B.A.P members in their actual school uniforms to prove that before they were bad men they were good boys.

So that pose was Him Chan′s idea...

Watchu lookin′ at there, Jong Up?

Young Jae was born to wear school uniforms.

Dae Hyun learned the most important lesson we′re taught in school: Just Say No.

Bang Yong Guk in a sweater vest? Picture or it didn′t happen.

Can you spot Zelo?
