In Korean an "ulzzang" literally translates to someone with the "best face." A civilian who just happens to be extremely good-looking and enjoys taking an unhealthy amount of selcas (self-taken photos), spreads them online, and becomes popular for their pretty or handsome face. These ulzzangs usually achieve Internet fame with their God given looks and perfect camera angle taking skills. Many of these ulzzangs get picked up by entertainment agencies and are made into the idols we love and adore today. So let's take a look at former ulzzangs who became idols!
B.A.P's Himchan became an ulzzang at "BESTNINE" alongside Mblaq's Lee Joon, CN Blue's Yonghwa and Jonghyun, and Block B's Jaehyo. He's appeared in a number of music videos and is known as the face of B.A.P. Known for being a talented ulzzang, Himchan attended the National Korean Traditional Music High School and graduated at the age of 17 with a full scholarship.
