[StarColumn] Part 1: B.A.P's Youngjae Photo Story

Among the boy groups who had a shining aura to them, a 6-member idol group made their debut with a ‘strong’ sense to them last January of 2012. The protagonist? None other than B.A.P. They made their appearance as charismatic messengers with their rough masculinity and created a grand performance through their debut song ‘Warrior,’ which had a strong and fast beat, capturing the hearts of female fans. Also for a rookie idol group, they held a successful debut showcase at the Seoul Jangchung Gymnasium and showed their potential. They recently passed their one year since debut as they held their first solo concert after 394 days since debut and showed a fast growth spurt than other idol groups. In this upcoming Naver Sat Column, part 1 will consist of an introduction of the members and photos that Youngjae took himself, part 2 will be from the perspective of Himchan who plays the role of the mom in the group, and part 3 will comprise of what the magnaes Jongup and Zelo want to say to their older hyungs. You can draw the humanistic side of the members that was hidden away from their strong image that they present on the stage, the efforts of wanting to be a step closer to the public being fruitful.

Hello, this is B.A.P’s main vocal Youngjae! We’re able to introduce ourselves through Naver Star Column as well^^ In the first episode, I’m going to reveal the photos that I took myself of the members. I always took interest in taking photos and suddenly revealing the photos I’ve taken through my personal camera is slightly embarrassing now. Haha. Also~ Shall we go through an introduction of the members through the photos of them?



This is B.A.P’s leader Bang Yongguk! I’m in charge of the rap making in the team as well as the lyrics and composition. The photo was taken by Youngjae in America~ Maybe it’s because I’m pursuing in music, but I always wanted to go to America and being there made me flutter. As soon as we got off the plane, the place we went to was the skate park which was the location of our photo shoot for MTV-K. I wasn’t the only one excited as the other members were also, so we were able to pose freely. Hey~ What’s up, bro?



This is Himchan who is close friends with Yongguk~ I’m in charge of vocals and the charismatic look in the group. ㅋㅋ This photo was taken after we successfully finished our Taiwan showcase after meeting the fans. Although we couldn’t communicate verbally, the connection was there as I made eye contact with each and every fan. B.A.P hwaiting and hwaiting to BABYs also!



This is Daehyun, the main vocalist of B.A.P! Hello~ After Yongguk hyung and Himchan hyung, I’m in charge of being 2nd in age ranking alongside Youngjae. ㅎㅎㅎ This photo was taken when we were in Bangkok for M.net’s ‘M Countdown Smile Thailand.’ We were waiting for out turn and while Youngjae was gone, I left my trace behind. I don’t know who’s son he is, but he sure is good looking~!

Oh! Finally we’re on Naver Star Column?? My first introduction will be formal! Hello! I am Jongup and I’m in charge of dance and vocals of the group!! I’m not usually the one to take selcas, but today I will specially reveal a photo for the readers of Naver Star Column! More photos are prepared from now on, so anticipate them~

S#1 On Singapore’s MTV. In March after B.A.P made its debut with ‘Warrior,’ we went to Singapore with Secret for a fan meeting. Also, this is where MTV Asia’s headquarters is located, so we filmed ‘THE MTV SHOW’ there as well. Our yellow pickled radish hair days was our shining era, heuheu. Do you remember?



S#2 In awaiting Secret’s fan meeting in Singapore, the person who invited us decided to give us a tour of Singapore. Where us and Secret seniors excitedly ran to was none other than Sentosa Island. It has Universal Studios and a beautiful beach as it’s truly a beautiful place. We couldn’t not take a photo of this beautiful scenery as B.A.P’s first vacation, so a photo with Secret seniors!



S#3 Our Malaysia showcase! Hello Malaysian fans! This was at the scene of our showcase in Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia last July. Do you see how many people have their hands up screaming for us? Put your hands up, yo~!



S#4 This was when we finished the showcase successfully in Malaysia and we were gearing up for the fan signing. We worked hard, but our two eldest hyungs still look soft. Yongguk hyung and Himchan hyung, aren’t you cool hyungs~?



S#5 Arriving at Taiwan, we’ve entered Taiwan! There were so many fans waiting that we were a little nervous. Did our maknae Zelo get nervous too? He seems to be pursing his lips a little? Kyokyo.



S#6 This is in our hotel room in Taiwan! Our room divisions tend to be older hyungs, middle line, and the magnae line, so I ended up spending another hot (?!) night with Daehyun and in the photo, we’re preparing to go out. Are you ready, Busan guy~?

S#9 Because we often received gifts from Taiwanese fans in Korea, I had slight expectations but the reaction of the crowd was really beyond it. Taiwanese BABYs, I’m taking this opportunity to thank you all!



S#10 This was at our hotel room in America and our CEO bought me shoes~ I’m a very excited Youngjae! I feel like I can fly to the sky. Eumhuhuhuhuh.



S#11 At our hotel in America, Zelo’s also excited about the new shoes! But you’re not supposed to eat it, Zelo! What if you grow taller from eating it! Think of your hyungs!!



S#12 This was when we were preparing for our performance at ‘KCON’ in America. Jongup has been to America when he was younger, so he was really lively in being able to see his relatives who also lived in America. In this photo, he’s imitating Charlie Chaplin. Haha.



S#13 This is in the Philippines where we’re waiting to go on the yacht. We were all a little nervous at the thought of this being our first time going on a yacht. In midst of all this, doesn’t masculine-Jongup look so cute with the blue hairpin~?



S#14 At a restaurant in the Philippines~ We’re at a shabu shabu restaurant in the Philippines since we filmed a part of our MV for ‘ONE SHOT’ here. Don’t the platters look so delicious? While waiting for the water to boil, everyone’s so engrossed in their cell phones ㅋㅋ Now, did you all have fun seeing the photos? Although they’re lacking quality, I’m still working hard in carrying around my camera and taking photos of the various images of the members^^ And the revealed photos are my results! ㅎㅎ we hope you continue to love B.A.P lots~ And anticipate episode 2 of Naver Star Column~
